  Put tv in game mode for direct signal, added this to my laptop, connect both with a hdmi 2.1 cable and things work flawlessly. I didn't need to set up any custom profiles etc, the laptop auto detected refresh rates and I just had to select 120hz.
  
  4k120hz hdr (full 32 bit rgb) works but setting it to 144hz didn't work. Even 4k120hz non hdr can't be changed to 144hz but I got 2k144hz running with and without hdr as nvidia custom profiles. I haven't checked enabling DSC, 144 vs 120 isn't a big deal.
